Since I decided to giveaway an Instant Pot to celebrate the re-launch of my website, I figured I’d give you some recipes to help you use your Instant Pot. If you were the winner, CONGRATS! If you weren’t you can always snag your Instant Pot (affiliate link) here and treat yo’self.
I would never promote something I myself don’t use/love and the Instant Pot is no different. They don’t pay me to promote it but man do I promote the heck out of it. I just love how easy it is to use, clean, and make recipes FAST. Not to mention, not only are the recipes made quickly, they also taste amazing. Even something as simple as hard boiled eggs are easier to peel and taste pretty dang good from the Instant Pot.
Tips & Tricks
I posted about the Instant Pot 101 awhile back when I realized I had been talking about it non-stop and should probably tell you what it was all about. However, there are so many tips and tricks I’ve learned since that I figured I’d share with you so that if you do have one or choose to get one you have all the tips/tricks you need to succeed.
Tip #1 When quick releasing the pressure put a towel over the vent. That way you don’t ruin your cabinets and the steam doesn’t go EVERYWHERE..
Tip #2 Buy a second insert so you can go from making one recipe right into the next without having to clean up right away.
Tip #3 Buy some accessories so you can make some extra fun recipes like the sous vide egg cups.
Tip #4 Always make sure you have some liquid–even if it’s 1/4 cup to ensure the pot seals.
Tip #5 Take a slow cooker recipe and use it in the Instant Pot–google the time needed to cook something similar in the Instant Pot 🙂
While I have plenty of my own recipes, like the Mongolian Beef and the Apple Butter, I wanted to share with you some of my favorite Instant Pot Recipes from other food bloggers so you can see that the possibilities are endless as it comes to your Instant Pot.
I’m always in for Taco Tuesday or Taco ANYDAY and you can guarantee any recipe Jess & Stacie from The Real Food RD’s put out will be tasty and nutriitous.
Pulled pork is the best, but who has time to wait? Throw it in the Instant Pot and it’ll be ready so much quicker AND it falls apart. If you haven’t had pulled pork in the Instant Pot, you’re missing out.
Anything PaleOMG puts out is straight deliciousness. Baby Back Ribs are delicious but intimidating, try them in the Instant Pot and invite some friends over to enjoy with you.
HBH puts out droolworthy recipes all day every day. These brand new Pineapple BBQ Chicken Bowls look perfect for the summertime and I can’t wait to try them out.
I never thought to have soup in the summer BUT there is nothing easier than throwing food in a pot and hitting go than soup. Putting this on summer’s menu this year.
The Instant Pot isn’t just for dinner, you can also make breakfast AND for the whole week. Have you ever thought to make breakfast in the Instant Pot?
I have yet to make yogurt in the Instant Pot but think it’s pretty neat that it’s an option. Damn Delicious has the best recipes and I can only imagine this yogurt is equally as delicious.
Mashed potatoes are the best, and so are bowl recipes, put the two together and BAM magical. I’d imagine you could make a mashed potato bowl assembly line and let everyone pick their own toppings–yum!
These may be my favorite meatballs ever. Scroll down to the bottom to see pressure cooker instructions.
I couldn’t leave you without dessert, so do yourself a favor, get a cheesecake pan for your Instant Pot and make yo’self a cheesecake 🙂
Enjoy and if you try one of these recipes, tag myself and the other blogger so we can see the delicious meal!
