20+ Gift Ideas for the Health Newbie (Sassy’s Holiday Gift Guide 2018)

Yum

November 21, 2018 By Laura Ligos, MBA, RD, CSSD

So you have someone on your list that either is new to the health/nutrition/fitness scene or you WANT them to be on the scene. Or maybe YOU’RE that person and need some inspiration to give people ideas.

We all know these people and we (of course) want to help them be successful. The good news is that if you help them with their new passion it’s also going to trickle down to you and most likely make you more health conscious as well.

Some of us are so far removed for this part of our journey that it can be hard to know what was most helpful in the beginning. This list is for those that need help getting started so that they can be as successful as possible! Give the gift of health this year to your favorite health newbie.

20+ Gift Ideas for the Health Newbie

A little bit of this, a little bit of that to get the health newbie off on the right foot for 2019!

Instant Pot (here)

Because it makes anyone a good cook.

Air Fryer (here)

Because you don’t want them to feel deprived or tempted to go back to their old ways. It’s also the perfect way for non-vegetable lovers to start to believe in vegetables.

Cast Iron Skillet (here)

It’s like lifting weights in the kitchen, perfect for any newbie hoping to be healthy and fit all at once.

Spatulas (here)

For whatever reason, newbies never have enough spatulas. When cooking and meal prepping I need a minimum of 3, no joke, it makes cooking so much easier!

Spiralizer (here)

For their new veggie obsession!

Immersion Blender (here)

Because you don’t want 500 things to clean, just keep the food in the bowl/pot/container and let the blender do the work.

Menu Planner (here)

Help them plan ahead so you don’t have to hear them complain that there is no healthy food around.

Knife Skills Class & Knife Set (here)

Check out classes at places like Sur La Table & your local cooking store!

Everybody and I mean EVERYBODY needs to learn how to cut properly in the kitchen to make cooking easier.  And you shouldn’t own a knife set without knowing how to use said set.

Measuring cups & spoons

Cutting Board (here)

How else are they going to show off their skillz?!

Containers (here)

Because if they learn to cook, they’ll hopefully have leftovers!

Cookbooks for Beginners

So they have someplace to start.

Inspirational T-shirts

You want them to wear their new found hobby loud & proud, am I right?!

Funny Mugs

I need a funny mug in every category, okay?!!?

Water bottle

Now that they’re healthy they’ve got to stay hydrated.

Lunch box (here)

Makes it easier to bring food from home and now they can be stylish too!

Anything on this list you are most excited about?! Anything I missed?

xoxo,

Sassy
