JJ and I are huge fans of pulled pork but have you ever looked at most ingredients in pre-made pulled pork OR bbq sauce? I urge you to turn over the next bottle of BBQ sauce you see and read the ingredients out loud. If High Fructose Corn Syrup or five other names disguised as sugar roll off your tongue PUT IT BACK ON THE SHELF and come back here and make this EASY and DELICIOUS recipe.
This recipe is a crowd pleaser and super delicious which if you even know a little bit about me, you know I LOVE TASTY FOOD! On top of that the BBQ sauce and pulled pork add some hidden vegetable sources for your children…ok well maybe for you too!
What I love about pulled pork is that it takes little time to prepare and at the end of a long work day you have a few days’ dinners waiting for you at home…and for us that is an achievement as we both have healthy appetites and leftovers are never a given.
This is a versatile dish. You can just eat the pulled pork right out of the crock pot and leave none for your significant other (or furry friend), put it in a lettuce wrap (cabbage and iceberg work best), put it atop some mashed parsnips (recipe coming soon) or scramble it in your eggs!
