Hi Friends and Happy Monday or probably Tuesday by the time you read this. Boy did last week and this weekend FLY by. I don’t know what it is about the summer but it seems every second of every minute of every hour of every day is jammed packed and it’s hard to keep up. Not to mention it seems a lot with my business and life have been blowing up as well.
You know as they say when it rains it pours and boy did it pour. Our technology in this house seemed to give out at the same time that I was transitioning EVERYTHING over to The Sassy Dietitian, more coming on that soon. Let’s just say I already forget my passwords to everything and having to get a new phone and a new-ish laptop in a week was a wee bit stressful. How do I deal? By making sure that my moments spent away from technology were as fun as possible of course.
It’s called balance.
I promise I will give you more info, more recipes and more content, but currently, I’m just trying to stay afloat over here…so instead I’ll give you some shopping ideas for Amazon Prime Day and a few highlights from my weekend.
Speaking of staying afloat, that’s what I did this weekend ๐
^it me!
Summer Weekends
We spent the weekend keeping busy, as we do with most summer weekends. We kicked it off by tubing with friends down the Batten Kill. If you are in the NY/VT area I highly recommend it. Just make sure that you go on a day where the sun is shining and it’s hot out. We somehow got treated to a rainy/cold day in the month of July even though every other day was oppressively hot. It took us almost 3-1/2 hours to float all of 2 miles down the river/road.
We were almost all tied together via string so it was quite enjoyable and highly entertaining. I was shivering at one point but the laughter of friends and some warm hands to hold made it all okay.
We also are all 1,000% foodies so we packed an excessively large cooler. Mind you, the compressors for blowing up the tubes weren’t working great so we had to basically earn our ability to float. Good thing I have large lungs (thanks swimming) and am pretty determined when I set my mind to something. I’d highly recommend a robust river tube and a secure bathing suit as the river is mostly unforgiving. As for our cooler, we packed plenty of snacks, drinks, water, and made sure to wear our water shoes.
Sunday Funday
We all crashed and burned after the tubing outing, which was good because we had a long Sunday ahead of us. We spent the majority of Sunday doing work around the house & meal prepping. However, we did take a quick break to shoot some lacrosse balls at UAlbany’s Lacrosse fields. JJ and I both used to play lacrosse and was actually one of the first things that we found we had in common. We used to play lacrosse catch/dodge in our freshman year dorm when the RA’s weren’t around to scold us, which may be one of my fonder memories of college, awwwww.
I still got it! Kinda…
We finished the weekend with a quick jaunt over to Utica to the Saranac Brewery to watch a Dispatch concert. While part of me wanted to stay home and skip out, I think sometimes it’s worth skipping out on a few Zzz’s for an experience you’ll most likely never have again. The weather was perfect (read: hot but blue skies) and the music was out of this world, well worth the late Sunday night bedtime.
While I may have had some regrets for having too much fun this weekend (as most weekends), it’s hard to have regrets when you are doing what you love with people who are fun and living life to the fullest. While sometimes Mondays seem to stink, would it really be worth it to live your life any other way? Not in my book ๐
Amazon Prime Day 2018
Okay, I don’t know about you but I LOVE Amazon Prime, in fact, I’m pretty sure many people do, that is why they look at 250โฌ in amazon investieren because they can make money off how well Amazon is doing, and it doesn’t look like it’ll be slowing down as more and more shop online. I don’t think we will have to wait that long until all shopping will be done online because more people prefer being able to shop in the comfort of their own bed instead of navigating the rush of people and the endless queues. And if this were to happen, you will definitely see an increase in people who feel that inwestowanie w amazon (investing in amazon) is a great way to not only shop for the best deals on the market, but to earn a bit of extra income too. It is definitely something that I will consider anyway.
I pretty much hate shopping and if I can find something on Amazon I will 100% opt for that option. If you don’t have Prime, you’re missing out. You even get some free TV shows and movies if you own something like a Roku, smart TV, or the like. Also, if you’re to look online for an article similar to this “how to change country Amazon Prime” then you can find out how you can go about changing your location to widen the Amazon Prime film and show titles that are available for viewing by you. Considering the many options you have, you could be able to find new TV shows and films to watch every day if you so wished.
I wasn’t really ready for the weekend to be over, so I perused Amazon (even though they had some downtime and made for some obstacles) and found some good deals for myself, okay and you ๐ To be honest, I did not realize this was happening until I was told on Friday (while buying food to meal prep) at Whole Foods that because I had spent over $10 I had earned $10 to spend on Amazon Prime Day. (If you are reading this before midnight on July 17th, you can snag this deal too!)
Don’t have Prime!? Try it for 30 Days FREE. Enjoy and treat yo self with these deals.
