This week has been nothing short of crazy (in the best way possible). Somehow (as I’m writing this) I am in the sky flying to Washington DC for the Food and Nutrition Conference (for Dietitians & Nutritionists). I wasn’t even sure I would be attending this conference this year, but thanks to the help of a couple of brands I was able to make it happen. If you aren’t following along on Instagram, do yourself a favor and check it out to see what I’m up to!
This week kicked off with a podcast with Dana Monsees called Real Talk with Dana. You can check out the episode here and if you like what you hear, come back for a discussion and subscribe to Dana’s podcast for more real food nutrition talk.
Real Talk with Dana Podcast
I have to say, I got such an amazing (unexpected) outpouring of support & emails after I was on The Girls Gone WOD Podcast a few weeks ago. I then got asked to go on Dana’s podcast and was floored. She’s a freaking rock star not just online but also in person. I must be doing something right if these amazing ladies are willing to have me on their podcasts?! I am humbled and excited beyond all belief.
Anywho, have you ever met someone who you immediately clicked with and knew you were meant to meet them? It’s crazy when it happens but you end up connecting immediately and being able to relate. That’s what happened with Dana and me.
I met Dana at Expo East where we sat at the same table at the influencer summit, rolled our eyes at the same comments, and wondered why there wasn’t enough food for us to eat. It was a match made in real food nutrition heaven. The best part was we met up the following day (by accident at a breakfast) and realized we were both CrossFit coaches and ex-swimmers (and a bunch of other similarities). WHAT IS THE CHANCE OF THAT?!
Crazy I say. I guess what I’m trying to say is this awesome human invited me on her show, and it’s crazy to me that we have so much in common, in the best way possible. It’s nice to find someone who enjoys your sarcasm but can also nerd out with you and also care about other people’s health and well-being. Win-win-win
You can find more about Dana at her website & on Instagram, you won’t be sorry.
