Filling
- 6 apples cored & chopped
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- Pinch of salt
- Juice of 1/2 lemon
- 1 Tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Topping
- 1/2 cup gluten free flour (I used Bob’s Red Mill)
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a large baking dish
- In a small bowl, mix together lemon juice, cornstarch, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt (for filling)
- In the baking dish, add apples & sugar, stir to coat evenly, add in lemon juice mixture and stir to combine.
- In a medium bowl, add all ingredietns for topping and with two forks (or a pastry cutter) combine to form into crumbs.
- Once combined, top filling with topping and bake in oven for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown and center is cooked through (sides will be bubbling)
